Where to begin?

As anyone reading this will know, I have never blogged before in my life. I make no promises that this will be coherent, intelligent, or worth while. However, since I am about to begin a new chapter in my life, full of adventure and mayhem, I thought I might share things as they happen for those interested. Of course, if you know my situation, it will be difficult for me to talk about the future for a few more months (since it's a semi-secret), so I guess I'll have some time to practice my "blogging." By the time you-know-what happens, I'll be a blogging fool (or just a fool blogging). Either way, it should be interesting!
P.S. Not really sure where to get the best backgrounds, etc. Suggestions?
